President John Dramani Mahama has visited the family of business mogul Alhaji Asoma Banda, who died on Saturday, March 1, to mourn with them.
Alhaji Asuma Banda, a pioneer in the aviation and shipping industries, passed away after a long battle with illness.
Following his death, President Mahama led a delegation of government and other officials to the house of the business giant to console his family.
Others who were present were the president’s brother and businessman Ibrahim Mahama and founder of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu.
The news of Alhaji Banda’s passing was shared on social media by Nigerian businessman and close associate, Dele Momodu, on social media.
The death of Alhaji Banda has triggered tributes from various public figures, including businessman Sir Sam Jonah, who described the news as a national loss.
