[VIDEO]: Football fans demonstrate against GFA and Sports Ministry
Hundreds of football fans in Ghana hit the streets of Accra on Wednesday [February 14] to partake in the ‘Save Ghana Football’ protest, aimed at reforms to transform football.
From far and near, they gathered at the Obra Spot located at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange to voice out against corruption, mismanagement, and poor governance.
Well-known sports journalists Veronica Commey, Saddick Adams (Sports Obama) and Patrick Osei Agyemang (Countryman Songo) led the peaceful protest.
The announced plan was to pass Asylum Down and the Greater Accra Regional Hospital before presenting a petition at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
They planned to stop at the Parliament of Ghana to present a petition before ending the protest at Independence Square.
