It was during the climax of Dr Bawumia’s Ashanti Regional tour.
It will be recalled that Dr Bawumia began a three-day tour in the Ashanti Region on June 10, 2024, with a massive walk as part of campaign activities ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Aside from meeting chiefs, prospective electorates and those in the entertainment industry, the flagbearer paid a courtesy call on the Black Stars on Sunday, June 9, 2024, before their 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic match.
In his campaign tour, he assured the people of the Ashanti Region that he would never disappoint Ghanaians if he was given the opportunity to be the head of state and head of government after the 2024 general election.
