(VIDEO) Bawumia does something differently

Uncharacteristic of the times, the Vice President and Flagbearer of the incumbent New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is burning less fuel on his just-started campaign tour.

Dr Bawumia and his campaign team entered the western regional capital, Sekondi-Takoradi in very few cars. The bulk of the team including Dr Bawumia himself was on the bus branded with his image and party colours.

The inference this puts in people is that, the current NPP Flagbearer is substantially different from all others who featured many vehicles incrementally during their campaigns.

The long phalanx of vehicles used by seekers of political power has come under sharp criticisms predicated on the hardships faced by the people. That suggests the luxury of those in authority in the sea of abject poverty.

Observers think the Bawumia move is a good move but they also wonder if it is not just a flash in the pan. It is also possible there was an advanced convoy. The Ghana Report would be investigating this interesting dimension of the 2024 campaign.
