Van Vicker condemns Anglican Priest for kissing students

Actor Van Vicker has described as disgusting, a viral video of an Anglican Priest kissing female students of the St. Monica’s College of Education in Mampong.

In the video, the priest and chaplain of the school identified as Rev. Obeng Larbi was seen kissing three female students in front of a cheering congregation.

The actor is wondering why a grown-up man of God would do such a thing.

“I can not comprehend this; an Anglican Rev. Father kissing students in front of a congregation. I wonder what the message was to warrant the kiss. The third student was distressing but he forcefully proceeded. Repulsive in my opinion,” Van wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

The video has since sparked fury on social media, with many users calling for investigations into the matter and a statement from the school’s authorities where the action happened.

Although some users have described the act as disturbing, others have decided to take a satirical position on the matter.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the Anglican Church has condemned the incident and launched investigations into the matter.

“The church is saddened by the news and wishes to state expressly that thorough investigations have been immediately instituted into the matter and the action of the said priest will be dealt with in accordance with the norms and values of the Anglican Communion where morality is extremely revered in the church,” the statement read.

Also, the management of the school has relieved the Reverend Minister of his post at the school’s chaplain.
