Ursula Owusu-Ekuful donates to Dansoman polyclinic, SHS in Ablekuma West

Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Minister for Communication and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West on Monday July 27, 2020, made a donation of hospital equipment and supplies, to the Dansoman Polyclinic.

The items included Examination lights, Oxy pulsometers, High power head lamps, Ward Screens, Swivel Chairs, Computers, Printers, Note books, and pens.

In a welcome address, Principal Medical Officer, Dr. Felicia Anderson expressed her delight at the level of commitment and support from the Hon. Member of parliament, to ensure safe and efficient healthcare delivery at the Dansoman polyclinic.

She also disclosed the fact that Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful was supporting the renovation of the polyclinic, to make room for a Theatre and Laboratory.

In her response, the Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekkuful reiterated her passion for ensuring safe healthcare delivery in the Ablekuma West Constituency. She indicated that, the Dansoman polyclinic serves a large catchment area and therefore needed an upgrade to serve the purpose.

According to her, the hospital calls on her from time to time when in need, and she is more than delighted to assist. The Honorable also took advantage of the situation to announce that the Ablekuma West Constituency will benefit from the eighty-eight district hospitals government plans to build. She commended Dr. Anderson and her team for the excellent services they provide, despite the challenges they encounter.

Ms. Hannah Mbir, administrator of the Dansoman polyclinic in her remarks expressed her appreciation to the Honorable MP for her kind gesture. She also enumerated numerous channels through which the Hon. MP has assisted the hospital, including a brand new maternity block being built at the Dansoman keep fit site.

After the brief ceremony, the Honourable headed to Margaret Mary SHS, Ebenezer SHS, His Majesty Academy and  Seven Great Princess Academy , all Second cycle educational institutions in her constituency to wish them well as they prepare for their West African Secondary Certificate Examination. She also donated Hand sanitizers, nose masks and sanitary towels to the schools. The heads of these institutions were all grateful for the benevolence of the Honorable Ursula Owusu-Euful.

    DANSOMAN deserve a better Medical Center than the existing two bedroom quarters turn into the facility called DANSOMAN POLYCLINIC
