Unidentified man found dead Near ‘Wee’ base in Berekum-Amangoase

An unidentified young man has been found dead near a known ‘wee’ base in Berekum-Amangoase, Bono Region.

The victim was discovered with multiple cuts and bloodstains on his body.

He was also found naked, with only a polythene bag covering his private parts, and stones scattered around him.

According to some residents, the deceased may have been a thief who was lynched after an alleged robbery attempt.

They also raised concerns about the increasing crime rate in the area.

The Assemblyman for the Amangoase Electoral Area acknowledged the residents’ concerns, describing the incident as disturbing.

However, he stated that he could not confirm whether the deceased was indeed lynched.

The police have since moved the body to the morgue as investigations into the case continue.
