The University of Ghana Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG) has described comments of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bulk Oil Distributors company, Senyo Kwasi Hosi, as preposterous and unintelligent.

According to them, an average UG Graduate student is better trained than Senyo Hosi.

President of GRASAG, Chris Atadika in a statement expressed shock and disappointment at the words of the alumnus of the oldest university in the country.

Extracts of the statement copied to The Ghana Report read, “As an alumnus of the University, who has been extended the courtesy of playing a significant part of the 70th anniversary celebrations, your outburst was inappropriate, and at best a show of loquaciousness because the time and purpose of such a gathering contrasted your condescending speech, which dampened the spirit of the young ones who were at the gathering.”

Mr. Atadika further indicated that GRASAG as a key player disagrees with the outburst of Mr. Hosi and asked graduate students to ignore such utterances from leaders who should know better.

“GRASAG Legon disagrees with your loose talk which lacked basis, facts and verifiable evidence to support your weak spiteful blanket characterization of graduate students of the University of Ghana,” he said.

The Association is therefore urging students to trust in the vision and mission of the University in providing quality graduate education to students amidst inadequate resources.
