UE/R: Police on manhunt for robbers who shot two police officers

The police are currently conducting a manhunt to identify and arrest the robbers who shot two police officers on April 13, 2025, at Poyamirea, located on the outskirts of Binduri in the Upper East Region.

According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, preliminary investigations reveal that the deceased officers were in civilian clothing and riding their motorbikes from Bongo to Binduri when they were attacked, and their motorbikes were stolen.

The names of the officers have been withheld as efforts are underway to notify their families properly, in accordance with customs and traditions.

The police administration has extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the Commander, and all officers in the region.

“We would like to assure the public that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be arrested to face justice, and we will surely get them,” the statement added.
