Mahama consoles, presents some relief items to Upper East flood victims
The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has sympathised and presented relief items to relatives and families displaced by the floods in the Upper East region.
During the visit, Thursday morning, the flagbearer interacted and consoled those who had lost relatives to severe floods in the area.
Reports suggest that almost 30,000 people have been rendered homeless in Chiana-Paga, Navrongo, Builsa South and Builsa North areas in the region.
The NDC flagbearer was accompanied by the national, regional and constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Mahama also seized the opportunity and paid courtesy calls on the chiefs and elders in the various communities.
