Two SHS students feared dead after violent clash during SRC week celebration
Two students have been reported dead in a clash involving students of Ngleshie Amanfrom Senior High School (NASEC) and Christian Methodist SHS during a Students’ Representative Council (SRC) week celebration.
The incident happened on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Block Factory on the Accra-Kasoa Highway in the Greater Accra Region.
The cause of the clash is not known yet.
However, information gathered indicates that a fight ensued between the schools and authorities managed to restore calm.
However, it was renewed on Tuesday.
According to an eyewitness, Akwesi Owusu, three cars were destroyed during the clash on Friday.
Owusu said some students of Christian Methodist SHS went on a rampage, attacking any NASEC student they met.
In a reprisal attack, NASEC students also stormed the campus of Christian Methodist SHS to unleash mayhem.
These two schools should be closed down immediately. When they resume, there should be no SRC celebrations to prevent all these fights.
