Two firefighters injured in Adjiringano building fire

A late-night fire incident in Adjiringano resulted in injuries to two firefighters as they endeavoured to control the blaze.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported that the firefighters have received treatment and have been discharged after suffering a stab wound and a shoulder injury during the operation.

As stated in a report on November 15, the fire ravaged a two-storey, eight-room structure located near Ability Square.

The emergency call was received at 9:32 p.m. on Friday, November 14, with the first team from the Legon Fire Station arriving shortly after 10 p.m.

Additional support from Madina, the National Headquarters, Adenta, and a private water tanker was instrumental in maintaining a consistent water supply until the fire was brought under control after midnight and completely extinguished by 1:08 a.m.

Seven rooms on the upper floor were destroyed, while firefighters successfully saved one room and prevented the flames from spreading to the ground floor and adjacent buildings.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
