Two persons have been confirmed dead in a fatal crash on the Bogoso-Obuasi Highway.
The unfortunate accident which occurred on Wednesday, March 22, also left several others in critical condition.
The accident involved two Sprinter Mercedes Benz buses (Registration No: AC 1474-22 and WR 775-19), driving in opposite directions.
According to eyewitnesses, the two buses made a wrongful overtaking at the intersection around the Wassa Japa Police Checkpoint, which led to a head-on collision.
Both buses were mangled.
The police have since launched investigations into the accident as the bodies of the male adults have been deposited at the Wassa Akropong Government hospital’s morgue for autopsy and preservation.
The injured are also receiving treatment at the same health facility.
