Tragic fire outbreak at Kpone claims four lives
A devastating fire outbreak at Kpone Kokompe Farms in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region has resulted in the loss of four lives.
The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 11:20 pm, destroying about 10 wooden structures.
The victims include a 27-year-old man, a 14-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old baby.
Despite efforts by firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service, the fire spread rapidly, making rescue attempts futile.
A neighbour who witnessed the incident described the intensity of the fire, stating that attempts to save the victims were unsuccessful due to the swift spread of the flames.
ADO1 Bright Nana Sarfo, PRO of Devtraco Fire Station, confirmed that investigations were ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
