Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT), a world-class top 80 university in the USA, is partnering with the world-renowned Nekotech Center of Excellence, under the leadership of Executive Chairperson H.E. Rev. Dr. A.K. Ocansey, who is also the founder of the Africa-US Presidential Forum on STEM AI and MBA, to embark on instant admissions for prospective graduate students.

Stevens Institute of Technology (SIT) is targeting topnotch Ghanaian first-degree holders interested in further studies, under the tacit support of the Minister of Education Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and the Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru, to transform Africa.

The top hierarchy of the Stevens Institute of Technology, including Associate Dean of Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Michael Zur Muehlen, Director of Graduate Admissions Mrs. Dina Iskaros, and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Rainer Martini, arrived in West Africa on September 2 to meet Ghanaian stakeholders, including the Minister of Education, and engaged the press on the opportunities available to students at the university.

Nekotech and the team departed for Liberia for an admissions drive from December 2-4 and will be returning to Ghana for a groundbreaking admissions session at the Ga Mantse Palace on December 5 and at the African Regent Hotel on December 6.

Prior to this, Nekotech, in partnership with its USA no-collateral educational loan financiers, allocated $100 million to Ghana and $25 million to Liberia to provide full funding for students with a GPA of 3.0/4.0, holders of bachelor’s degrees in any field, and aged 21-40 for Ghana and 25-40 for Liberia.

The symbolic checks awarded directly to the qualified graduates of the two countries were received by government officials at the Africa-US Presidential Forum on STEM AI MBA held at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, USA, on September 19, 2024.

President of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera; the former President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Joyce Banda; the Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty King Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II; and the Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Authority, Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi; were in attendance at the historic event.

Since then, the beneficiary countries have been preparing qualified students for the spring and fall 2025 intakes.

There are several African presidents on the waiting list to join the Africa US Presidential Forum to access the no-collateral educational loans and partial scholarships on offer through the Nekotech programme on STEM AI/MBA.

In Liberia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs has been highly instrumental in the establishment of the program, while in Ghana, through the Ministry of Education, the National Service Authority, and other stakeholders, the dream of strong citizens skilled in STEM and AI is on course.

Students from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Stevens Institute of Technology is over 150 years old, and Nekotech is over 25 years old.

Together, African students of excellence will not be left behind in this new era of STEM/Artificial Intelligence and MBA.
