Togolese arrested for selling colleague for money rituals
The Central Police Command is holding a Togolese national, Haruna Muba, 30, who allegedly attempted to sell his 20-year-old co-worker at a galamsey site for GHC80,000 to be used for money rituals.
The incident reportedly occurred at Denkyira Ayanfuri in the Upper Denkyira West District.
When the residents got the information, they laid ambush with journalists and BNI officials in an uncompleted building and arrested the suspect.
The victim was tied with a rope, and his mouth and eyes were covered, waiting for the buyers to come for him for the rituals.
However, he was arrested when he showed up in readiness to transact the business of selling the victim.
Additionally, the report gathered also indicated that the suspect, Haruna, is alleged to have tried beheading his 17-year-old niece sometime back.
He is currently in the custody of the Dunkwa Divisional Police Command, assisting police with the investigation.
