The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a warning that localized thunderstorms are expected later today in parts of the country, especially along the coast, nearby inland areas, and sections of the middle belt.
According to the latest forecast, the storms are likely to develop from late afternoon into the evening, following generally sunny conditions with occasional clouds earlier in the day.
GMet advised that while most areas will enjoy fair weather in the afternoon, residents in regions prone to thunderstorms should take precautions, as the rains may come with strong winds.
“The northern and transition sectors will experience dry and hazy conditions of varying intensities throughout the forecast period,” GMet said.
The Agency also indicated that relatively cool conditions are expected during the night and early morning hours in these areas.
