Three injured after vehicle falls from Kasoa overhead
A horrific accident occurred on Friday afternoon in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region, leaving three people in critical condition.
A Honda Saloon car with registration number DV 488R 2024 fell off the Kasoa overhead bridge while travelling from Buduburam towards Accra.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver hit a pothole on the road, causing the vehicle to somersault and plummet off the bridge.
The injured occupants, including a woman, her son, and the driver, were rushed to the Kasoa Polyclinic for urgent medical attention.
The vehicle has been towed to the Kasoa Police Station for further investigation.
The conditions of the injured are currently unknown, and an investigation into the incident is likely to follow.
This incident comes after a horrific road accident claimed the lives of seven boys at Sunyani on Thursday evening.
The tragic incident involved a tricycle (Pragya) which collided with a Toyota RAV4 around 10 pm.
According to eyewitnesses, the tricycle was occupied by seven boys when the accident happened.
Unfortunately, all seven lost their lives in the crash.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, fled the scene to avoid a mob that had gathered.
