A thief identified as Prince, aka Baron De Young Don, has been beaten to a pulp for allegedly stealing electrical gadgets at Sakora, a community in Old Bibiani in the Western North region.
Baron De Young Don, allegedly stole a flat-screen TV, a stand fan, an iPhone, and money, amongst other gadgets.
Information gathered indicates that Prince is a notorious thief who goes around stealing from people.
Narrating the incident, an eyewitness, Kofi Gyabaah, said Baron De Young Don got all his hair shaved after being beaten to a pulp and the residents also poured hot water on him.
He added that the residents complained that his modus operandi is to monitor his victims and attack and steal from them.
Baron De Young Don was apprehended after a friend of his who also had his items stolen monitored his movement and discovered that he had stashed in his room the stolen items.
The said friend later informed others in the area, who went to apprehend Baron De Young Don.
While beating him, the attackers asked him where he had kept the other stolen items.
He confessed to selling some of them and giving others to people to keep them for him.
Information gathered also indicates that Baron De Young Don attempted to defend himself, but he was overpowered by the residents.
His relatives had to go and beg the Assemblyman of the area, Daniel Kaakyire Addae, to intervene so Baron De Young Don would be sent to the police.
