There’s nothing wrong with charging gate fees at Christian programs- Siisi Baidoo

Ghanaian fast-rising gospel musician Siisi Baidoo says there is nothing wrong with charging gate fees at Christian events due to the cost such events incur on the host.

Siisi Baidoo said this in response to a point raised by gospel musician Ernest Opoku saying that it is not good for Christians to charge gate fees at programs.

According to Ernest, the payment prevents people who need to attend the program to be excluded since most are unable to pay the gate fees charged by hosts.

“It is wrong for you to make money before people can enjoy your program,” Ernest Opoku said on Hello FM in an interview.

However, Siisi Baidoo has a different view on the issue saying that it is never wrong when a gospel artiste decides to charge a gate fee at his or her event.

According to Siisi, he doesn’t charge any gate fees at his events because the Holy Spirit has not directed him to do so but if the Holy Spirit for once asks him to do so why not, he will definitely charge fees.

The Sunsum Kronkron hitmaker has so many songs to his credit such as Anago Medley, Otim Ho Daa,
W’ayeyi, and  Onyame Tumfo.
