There’s no expiry date for marriage; stop pestering me – Kumawood actress.

A Kumawood actress, Vivian Jill Lawrence, is worried over the constant call on her to settle down.

The actress says marriage is delicate, therefore, must not be rushed into.

In an interview on Accra FM, the actress said,  “Some people even ask: ‘Why, at your age, you’re working, you’re pretty, so, why aren’t you married?’

“When it comes to marriage, sometimes people are in relationships in which the men are abusing them, but they can’t come and say it publicly. When they say it, instead of receiving empathy, they’re rather insulted.

“I can’t come and tell people what’s going on in my relationship and why I’m not married because of what I’ve been through. I can’t come and tell people. I have a private life.” she added.

Ms Jill Lawerence insists that marriage has no expiration date or deadline, adding that its rather childbirth that has an expiration date.

“There’s no expiration date for marriage. My mother’s best friend got married at the age of 54. She was on her way to the market when she met a man who said he would marry her, and he did.  There’s no deadline for getting married. If you push and it doesn’t work, you leave it to God”.

She advises young girls to be patient and wait for the appointed time.
