‘The entertainment sector is the only serious sector in Ghana’- Bulldog
Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Bullhaus Entertainment, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson (Bulldog), has appealed to the government to invest in the creative arts sector because of the benefits to the economy.
According to him, most governments neglect the creative arts industry and focus on sports, agriculture, and others that do not yield significant returns.
“The entertainment sector is the only serious sector in Ghana… We are still importing tomatoes, chicken, and toothpicks. We don’t import music. We are producing more music, and these other industries are not,” He said in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Hitz FM.
He also called on the government to establish more creative arts schools since graduates can readily establish themselves in economic ventures compared to other educational institutions.
“Nurses finish their school and fly to London to work [but we stay here and work]. They should take the creative industry seriously. Only the Armed Forces are good like us because they have maintained peace”.
