TGR Radar: Presidential Staffer to face Sam George for the Ningo-Prampram seat come 2020
A presidential staffer, Alex Martey, has emerged as parliamentary aspirant for the New Patriotic Party in the Ningo Prampram constituency and is set to face incumbent Samuel Nartey George come 2020.
Mr. Martey polled 269 votes against his contender Rita Akweley Addotey, who got 207 votes out of total votes cast in the NPP parliamentary primary for orphan constituencies.
Reports gathered by The Ghana Report reveals that NPP has not won the seat in Ningo Prampram since 1992.
Speaking to the media after his victory, Mr. Martey promised to embark on a mission to get the seat for the NPP.
“Sam George, you’re my brother but this time is over for you, ” Mr. Martey said with much conviction.
Mr. Martey works with the Operations Directorate at the Jubilee House.
