Ghanaian Afro-dancehall and Reggae musician Livingstone Etse Satekla, known in the showbiz industry as Stonebwoy, has won the Artiste of the Year award at this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA)

This is the second time Stonebwoy has won the Artiste of the Year.

In 2015, he was crowned the Artiste of the Year.

Stonebwoy beat his biggest competitor, King Promise, who had been projected by many as a likely winner.

Nacee, Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene and Black Sherif were the other musicians in the same category.

Stonebwoy’s victory coincides with the programme’s 25th anniversary, as the event was successfully held last night at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC).

Stonebwoy went home with six awards.

Apart from Artiste of the Year, Stonebwoy, who had the highest nominations, also clinched the Best International Collaboration with ‘Manodzi’ featuring Angelique Kidjoe, Songwriter of the Year, Record of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year and Album/EP of the Year.

Other winners on the night were King Paluta, Olive The Boy, Kofi Karikari, Queendalyn Yurglee, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, Nacee, Amerado, and Black Sherif.
