A student of Nsutem Senior High Technical School, Abigail Asare, has been stabbed to death by her jealous boyfriend.
The 18-year-old form two student was stabbed by her boyfriend, who works as a barber, following allegations of infidelity.
Initial reports suggest that the General Arts student paid a visit to her boyfriend’s barbershop in Nsutem township on Thursday afternoon during a school break.
Tragically, an altercation ensued between the couple, resulting in the boyfriend, identified as Micheal Osei, stabbing the girl with a knife.
The attack was reportedly triggered by a misunderstanding and accusations of cheating.
Regrettably, the young girl suffered multiple stab wounds and lost her life in the barbershop.
The suspect reportedly locked the victim inside, leaving her to bleed profusely before fleeing the scene.
The lifeless body of Abigail Asare, lying in a pool of blood, was discovered later in the barbershop when concerned neighbours noticed blood seeping out from the premises.
Swiftly, the authorities were notified, and the police arrived at the scene.
The barbershop was forcibly entered to preserve the evidence of the crime before the body was transferred to the morgue, pending further investigation.
