Techiman Wonders fined GHc 10,000 by Ghana FA
The Ghana Football Association has handed a GHc10,000 fine to Ghana Premier League side, Techiman Eleven Wonders for misconduct in their home league fixture against Asante Kotoko.
According to the Disciplinary Committee of the FA, Eleven Wonders breached Article 2 and Article 8 of the GFA Matchday Covid 19 Protocols, when they allowed football fans into the stadium when the match was to be played behind closed doors and for failing to observe social distancing.
Also, they breached Article 42(1) of the GFA Premier League Regulations and GFA Directives on Ticketing by collecting money at the entry points of the venue clearly indicated by the stamped palm of the supporters.
The Techiman based club also received a one-match home ban which has already been served after the team was made to play their game against Liberty Professionals at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi following the incident.
The club is expected to make payment to the GFA within fourteen (14) days upon receipt of the Ruling, failure to do so will see Techiman Eleven Wonders FC forfeit its club’s matches after the said deadline.
