Taxi driver who went missing found dead in a public toilet

A 50-year-old taxi driver, identified as Kwabena, aka ‘One Day’, has been found dead in a dilapidated public toilet at Assin Juaso, in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region. 

The police were informed about One Day’s sudden disappearance about two weeks ago, and subsequently, he was declared missing after his taxi was found abandoned in the bush.

A body was later discovered in a dilapidated public toilet in Juaso.

After examination, it was revealed that it was the missing driver.

Meanwhile, some residents have raised concerns over the frequency of such incidents.

According to them, approximately six cases have been documented in the last two months.

In a similar vein, on April 10, 2024,  the body of a taxi driver was found in a bush at the Asabia Electoral Area in the Sunyani West district of the Bono Region.

The driver, said to be in his late 20s, was found on a cassava farm with several bruises on his body.

Also, the body of a 28-year-old man was discovered on his farm in Agogo, Ashanti region, a day after his family reported him missing.

The man, identified as Junior, reportedly went to his farm on Friday, April 5, 2024, but did not return.

This prompted his family to report him missing to the police.

The police and Junior’s family launched a search for him.

Barely 24 hours after the search began, the group found the lifeless body of Junior on his plantain farm in the Kowereso Mebome Electoral Area near Agogo.

Again, on April 12, 2024, a 16-year-old boy named Nicholas Nyame, who went missing in Assin Fosu, was found dead in an abandoned quarry pit.

The Junior High School (JHS) Form 2 pupil drowned in the pit filled with water at Assin Dompim, a suburb of Assin Fosu in the Central region.
