Tap Ghana’s strategic potential for economic growth – Kufuor urges U.S. investors
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has called on American businesses and investors to explore opportunities in Ghana, emphasizing the country’s potential for fostering mutually beneficial economic partnerships.
Highlighting Ghana’s strategic location and abundant natural resources, Kufuor stated that the nation offers immense potential for building a sustainable economy.
Speaking at the 35th Anniversary Thanksgiving Dinner and Awards Night of the American Chamber of Commerce Ghana, the former president urged Ghanaian businesses to prioritize value addition in their exports to enhance their global competitiveness.
“The time has come when the US, if it wants to champion global advancement, should look at places like Ghana. It is a true hub, naturally. We sit right on the intersection of the equator and the meridian.
“In terms of travelling, within 6 hours you are in major New York, 7 hours you are in the Middle East…and we have the human and the natural resources. So, please, I am appealing to all of you to make Ghana the hub in partnership with you guys to produce,” he stated.
