A 50-year-old tailor, Kofi Bour, allegedly committed suicide in Boamang in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region.
He was found hanging by an electric iron cable in his room on Saturday, August 24.
According to his aunt, with whom he lived, he returned from work that evening and retired to his room to sleep.
However, they found him dead after a group of children came to collect the funeral clothes he had sewn for them.
The family immediately reported the incident to the Afigya Kwabre North Police Command.
Following their preliminary investigation at the scene, the police moved the body to the St. Patrick Hospital Mortuary at Offinso pending further investigation.
Meanwhile, the circumstances leading to his death are still unclear.
Kofi Bour was a married man with two children.
He has been described as a quiet and peaceful person, leaving many to wonder what could have driven him into taking his life.

This comes after a female police officer believed to be in her 30s allegedly committed suicide at Mamponteng in the Ashanti region.
Information gathered indicates that the officer discovered that her husband had impregnated another woman.
After discovering the alleged infidelity, a misunderstanding ensued between the couple.
The situation took a cruel turn when the husband began comparing her to the other pregnant woman in Bimbilla.
This allegedly triggered the officer to take her life.
She was later found dead in her room by her neighbours.
