Speaking at the launch of the second edition of ‘Women of Valour’, the ambassador underscored the importance of women working together to achieve greater success across all sectors.

“In my humble opinion, what Ghana needs for the advancement of greater equality on a large scale is women working together, forging alliances, and being deliberate about it,” she stated.

“You are not alone, so let’s not lose hope but work together and make Ghana a better place for all women and men alike. That’s also hope for the future and I think we all can make it happen,” she said.

She emphasized that; “Positive development in the advancement of gender equality in other countries including Switzerland, are often started with bottom-up social movements by women, for women, by simultaneously bringing on board supportive men”.

“Networks like this one with strong, powerful, and influential women coming together to join forces, are the essentials for gender equality,” she added.

She also expressed her admiration for people who champion gender equality initiatives in their various countries.

“I have great admiration for any woman who tries to make our world a better place for all women and I think that’s the essence of this initiative and so we should lift each other.

“It is something that we need in Ghana and if I have to make any contribution to that, then I am very happy to do so”, she added.
