A suspected armed robber has been burnt to death by unknown individuals in Ashaiman Katamanso, located in the Greater Accra Region.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, December 12, after the suspect allegedly stole a standing fan and a flat-screen television.
A local resident, identified as Vifa, reported that the suspect broke into a home between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. while the occupants were absent.
The stolen items were later found near the suspect’s charred body.
While the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown, residents speculate that the act may be a response to growing frustration over frequent robberies in the area.
The body has been removed and taken to the mortuary, and investigations are underway to determine those responsible for the incident.
