Supreme Court suspends sitting over alleged COVID-19 cases
The Supreme Court has announced the suspension of the week’s sitting as fears of COVID-19 increase.
The move comes in the wake of rumours that some judges of the Superior Courts have tested positive for the virus and are currently in mandatory Isolation.
With the turn of events, the apex court had to suspend its 16 cases scheduled for the week, which commenced Tuesday.
All the cases have been adjourned to a later date.
The Judicial Service is set to commence its Legal Vacation from August 1, 2020 and resume in October.
Meanwhile, a Court of Appeal Judge, Justice Paul Gyaesayor has passed on.
Per information available to theghanareport.com, he died after complaining of ill-health on Tuesday morning.
The cause of death is yet to be announced.
