A third-year student at the Accra College of Education was apprehended on Sunday, August 11, for allegedly breaking into a fellow student’s room to steal a laptop.

The incident occurred while most students were attending a programme at the school’s auditorium.

According to a post on X by EDHUB, the suspect entered the room, unaware that a student was present, and began rummaging through their belongings before making off with the laptop.

The student quickly raised the alarm, leading to the suspect’s arrest.

Upon searching the suspect’s bags, authorities found eight phones, several flash drives, and the stolen laptop.

The suspect was subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.

This incident is the latest in a series of thefts on campus, including the recent disappearance of eight laptops from the school’s ICT lab.
