Musician cum social commentator, Kwame Asare Obeng, has taken a swipe at rapper Sarkodie, calling him a hypocrite.
The rapper, who was vocal during the erstwhile Mahama government and passively campaigned for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), took to his Twitter page on Monday, December 6, to lament the economic hardship in the country.
He wrote:
“The people are going through it !!! We always do !!! All we ask for is the right environment to hustle/ be productive”.
His post, according to Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, is full of hypocrisy.
He said the rapper must have the courage to speak the truth to power as he did under the previous government.
“The hypocrisy….. During John Mahama’s time as president, the hardship was caused by his incompetence abi? Now there is serious hardship under Akufo Addo; instead of telling him the truth, you added ‘we always do’ to make you look good before them”.
Further slamming The Masses and Inflation rapper, the TPP founder added: “When you spoke about hardship under John Mahama, didn’t ‘we always do’ or we were living in San Diego before he became president?”.
A Plus’ comments resonate with many social media users who have criticized Sarkodie for not speaking against the current challenges faced under the current NPP government.
