Stonebwoy records song against xenophobic attacks in South Africa
Ghanaian dancehall musician, Stonebwoy has gone beyond tweets to make a song concerning xenophobic attacks on foreigners, mostly Nigerians in South Africa.
In the song, Stonebwoy preached for unity in Africa. Wearing a shirt with names of past African leaders boldly written on it, the ‘Tomorrow’ hitmaker said it was senseless for Africans to fight fellow Africans.
Backlash against the xenophobic attacks has been massive with influential personalities across the continent condemning it.
Currently, there are reports that countries such as Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Malawi have pulled out of the World Economic Forum in South Africa.
Zambia has also called off its friendly match with South Africa in protest of the xenophobic attacks while African showbiz personalities like Burna Boy have vowed not to go to South Africa.
Singer, Tiwa Savage, has announced that she has pulled out of the DStv Delicious concert scheduled for later this month.
