Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla, known in showbiz as Stonebwoy has been appointed as Global Ambassador for Sanitation.
The appointment was made on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Accra Sports Stadium at a fashion and music show put together to raise awareness to ban single-use of plastics.
It was an initiative recognized by the Office of the President under the auspices of the Ghana Millennium Excellence Foundation and Wash Africa Campaign Ambassador Ashim MORTON, President of the Foundation.
Some of the distinguished persons who shared the platform with Stonebwoy include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Wole Soyinka, Aliko Dangote and former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
In an Instagram post, Stonebwoy who was recently made ambassador of Voltic Ghana expressed his gratitude for the honour.
“Grateful to the people of Ghana for deeming me worthy of helping drive the agenda of plastic and waste management,” he wrote.
