An AK-47 rifle and other police equipment stolen from the Sehwi Asafo Police Station have been recovered in a bush near the Asafo community cemetery in the Western North Region.

The theft, which occurred last Saturday, saw suspected robbers break into the police station by scaling through the iron-gated window of the station’s armoury.

They made off with the firearm and other law enforcement gear, leaving the station in disarray.
