Sports Minister commissions Wa Youth Resource Centre
The Minister for Youth and Minster, Mustapha Ussif, has officially opened the Wa Youth Resource Centre in the capital of the Upper West Region.
The project is part of the ministry’s broader initiative to construct 10 youth resource centres nationwide.
Ussif highlighted the importance of the facility during the commission of the project on Tuesday, December 3.
The renovation, initiated by former Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah in March 2018, has resulted in notable additions, such as a 5000-seater stand, basketball and volleyball courts, a lawn tennis court, and running tracks.
The facility, which was commissioned and rechristened B.K. Adama, is the second Youth Resource Centre completed after Koforidua’s project.
The construction of the multi-purpose Youth Resource Centres across the country began in 2018 under the then Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah.
