Former Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Charles Bissue, has alleged that Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyabeng and investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas conspired to tarnish his reputation.

In an interview, the Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado Ketan Constituency questioned the integrity of the OSP as well as the methods deployed by Anas in his investigative report on him.

“Kissi Agyabeng is friends with Anas. Kissi Agyabeng led and directed Anas in taking the video that tried to implicate me, and I am not scared about anything because it’s a lie” he noted in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Onua FM.

“Why would you come to somebody’s office, take a video and adulterate it?” he quizzed.

He added; “There were cameras present, let Anas present the original videos he claims he took from my office. What Anas has done in this country, whoever supports him is equally dishonest because his videos are false, I have said it countless times.

“Even when it takes 100 years, I will strive and fight for the truth to come out, there is nothing on the face of the Earth about the video to implicate me

“A lot of people have fallen victim to Anas, who makes videos and tarnishes the images and reputation of people, let’s ask ourselves, what does it benefit Anas to do these,” he questioned further.

He further criticized Anas for what he described as a pattern of damaging individuals’ lives through manipulated exposés, branding him as “evil” and questioning the motives behind his actions.

Bissue’s allegations follow an investigative documentary titled “Galamsey Fraud Part I” by Tiger Eye P.I. in 2023 which captured him in allegations of corruption during his tenure with the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining.
