The immediate past Minority Chief Whip, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak has asked the National Democratic Congress(NDC) to sit up.

His comments follow the party’s decision to reshuffle the Minority leadership in parliament.

Mr Muntaka, in the surprise shake-up, was replaced with Mr Kwame Agbodza, Member of Parliament(MP) for Adaklu.

The MP for Asawaase has expressed his unhappiness with the changes that have been made by the party’s executives.

In a press conference on Thursday, January 26, Mr Muntaka said the decision was made by a few executives although the statement announcing it was signed by General Secretary Fifi Kwetey.

“If you cannot write a letter to appoint, how can you write to disappoint?” he questioned.

He added that “We don’t want to create enmity among us unnecessarily, we believe that the right process should be followed.

He further stated that if the right process is followed it will be gladly welcome.

Meanwhile, he thanked the party for the opportunity to serve.

In another press conference held at the same time, the General Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Fifi Kwetey said the party still stands by its decision to select new leaders for the party in parliament.

Mr. Kwetey was flanked by the Chairman of the party, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah, and the newly appointed Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
