Shatta Wale rallies massive support for The Ghana Report Jobs Fair
Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has admonished the youth to utilise opportunities presented at the maiden edition of The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair, aimed at creating employment for more than 5000 job seekers.
The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship, which is taking place from Thursday, September 19, to Saturday, October 5, at the Independance Square, will also feature rapid skills training in makeup artistry, dressmaking, cosmetology, soap and detergent production, catering, CCTV and DSTV installation, digital skills, electrical fence and gate automation, solar panel installation, innovative agriculture, and local drink production.
Day four of the fair was abuzz with excitement as a massive crowd gathered in the evening to enjoy the performance of Shatta Wale, ahead of the busy job recruitment sessions by public and private companies, including Ghana’s security services.
The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair is championed by the CEO of The Ghana Report and I-ZAR Group, Ms. Rashida Saani, who is keen on providing young people with equal opportunities to excel and gain financial freedom.
The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair, hailed as a groundbreaking initiative, drew applause from Shatta Wale as he thrilled fans at the evening concert.
Halfway through his performance on Sunday, September 22, Shatta Wale paused and said, “I just want to say a big thank you to The Ghana Report for this…”.
Shatta Wale further appealed to the audience to enrol in the rapid skill training programme to learn a new skill.
“God, I want to learn something. God, I want to learn something. Amen,” the ‘Blessings’ hitmaker prayed with the audience while urging them to take action.
The award-winning dancehall heavyweight believes initiatives like The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair will go a long way towards economic development to improve Ghana.
“This is how we want to build our country,” he applauded The Ghana Report for the initiative to provide employment for the youth.
Shatta Wale also hoped the fair would become an annual event, revealing he would have registered his Shaxi ride-hailing company as a participant if he had heard about the job expo earlier.
The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair is being rolled out in collaboration with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
