Shatta Wale enskin as “Dancehall Naa” in Tamale
Dancehall Artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale has been enskinned as “Dancehall Naa” literally means “Dancehall king”.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on him by Chief of Tamale, Nyeb-Dakpema Fuseini Bawa when the artiste paid a visit to the chief at his palace on Friday.
The visit of the Dancehall king was to inform the chief of a concert that he is headlining today, Saturday June 8, 2019, at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale in dubbed “Storm Reign” concert.
Other artiste billed to perform at the concert is Northern based rapper and dancehall musician Maccasio, Gaffachi Payment, Onenaira, Flawa Gaskia and Fadi Lan among others.
The event will also be used to outdoor new products of Kasapreko and Storm Energy Drink beverages.
He received a massive reception from members of his fan based, the Shatta Movement (SM) through the central business district area to the Dakpema palace.
At a press conference in Tamale, the Artiste, Nii Armah Mensah commended Dakpema for the title conferred on him and assured of using the title to encourage the youth to eschew indiscipline.
He stressed that Storm energy had been one of the most patronise beverage on the market hence the decision to introduce a new one that will boost the energy levels of patrons to enable them work well.

Shatta Wale used the opportunity apologise for the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) recently and promised that such a thing would not happen again.
“We are making sure the police put safety measures together to have a successful show. I can assure everybody that 69 fans, shatta movement fans and fans of Fancy Gadam would be invited to grace the event,” he said.
“In life, things happen and we all learn from it and we decided to organize that peace concert to smoke the peace pipe. I spoke with him as a brother and he also understood me. Stonebwoy and I have decided to set an example for the youth to emulate in addressing their grievances,” he said.
He, therefore, called for support to ensure the success of the event that will inspire the youth to venture into the sector.
Essence of event in Tamale
The Dance hall artiste said Tamale had been his second home, adding that his greatest fans came from the North hence the event in Tamale to show appreciation to the fans.
“With this, I think anytime I want to do something I want to get my blessing from Tamale because fans in the region have been supportive in my music career,” he said.
“With collaboration with Macassio, we have a dream of promoting Tamale Youth and empowering them as well nurture them in order to harness their talent to be able to achieve their dreams.
We have achieved 50 percent of our concept and we are still working on it to ensure the youth identify their talents and work on them”.

He said negotiations were on going to establish a recreational centre and studio for the youth to train them to harness their potentials.
