Vice chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu has revealed that BBC’s ‘Sex for Grades’ documentary is adversely affecting the institution.

Two of the University’s lecturers were implicated in the investigative piece.

According to Prof. Ebenezer Oduro-Owusu, the school’s international recruitment team, who were scheduled for a program in Nigeria has been stopped as a result of the documentary.

In an interview monitored by The Ghana Report, the VC said the ‘Sex for Grades’ documentary is in bad taste.

“It has affected us. And not only University of Ghana, but Universities in Ghana. For example, our International recruitment team was to embark on International recruitment in Nigeria, they’ve been stopped. We have a team that is supposed to go to the UK on research grounds and others. It’s been put on hold for them to try and evaluate the media platforms to see what happens. It’s really affected us. Mind you, not only the University of Ghana, University of Ghana and the Nation,” the VC lamented.

The school’s management has however interdicted the two lecturers who were implicated in the video.
