Sena Okity-Duah appointed coordinator for Free SHS secretariat
Benita Sena Okity-Duah, the former Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, has been appointed as the Coordinator for the Free Senior High School (SHS) Secretariat.
Before this appointment, Mrs. Okity-Duah once served as the Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture and Deputy Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection under President John Mahama’s previous administration.
Born on June 19, 1976, in Anloga, Volta Region, Okity-Duah first came into the spotlight in 1997 when she won the Miss Ghana pageant at just 20 years old.
She attended Achimota School and later pursued fashion studies at the London School of Fashion, where she dedicated four years to perfecting her skills.
Returning to Ghana in 2003, she quickly made a name for herself in the fashion industry, becoming a prominent figure.
Her political career took off when she won the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket for the Ledzokuku Constituency, defeating incumbent MP Nii Nortey Dua in 2012.
