Semenyo signs five-year contract extension at Bournemouth

Ghana international Antoine Semenyo has extended his stay at Bournemouth for five more years following an impressive performance last season.

The Black Stars forward initially joined the Cherries from Bristol City in January 2023 after a swashbuckling performance in the Championship.

Having delivered an outstanding performance in his first stint, the club has rewarded the Ghanaian with contract extension.

Semenyo has signed a five-year deal with the Cherries keeping him at the club until summer 2029.

He was a key player under head coach Andoni Iraola last season, making 36 appearances and scoring eight goals across various competitions.

The team is gearing up for fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, and Everton in August as they aim for a strong start to the season.

The Ghanaian international will be hoping to maintain his fine form at Bournemouth in the upcoming football season.

He has already joined his teammates for preseason as they prepare for the 2024/25 season.

Semenyo began his career at Bristol City, making his professional debut during the 2017-18 season. His journey included loan spells at Bath City, Newport County, and Sunderland before returning to Bristol City and subsequently moving to Bournemouth.

Since making his debut for the Black Stars in June 2022, he has made 21 appearances, scoring two goals in the process.
