The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has planned an extensive series of maintenance activities across six operational regions for today, Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Technicians are prepared to carry out infrastructure upgrades that will temporarily interrupt power supply to numerous communities, ranging from the Western enclave to the Eastern corridor.

As per a series of advisories released by the power distributor in recent days, these coordinated efforts are intended to improve service reliability and strengthen the stability of the national grid.

The outages will begin at 9:00 am in all affected areas, although the length of the interruptions will differ by region and location, depending on the specific scope of engineering tasks to be performed.

In the Eastern Region, engineers will be active from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, focusing maintenance efforts on Kwabeng Township and its neighbouring localities. Residents in this area have been urged to make the necessary arrangements for the six-hour disruption.
