A security analyst, Mr Adam Bona, has painted a gloomy picture of the country’s security situation.

According to him, the state of security in the country is deteriorating.

He says although there are a lot of persons in charge of the country’s security sector, crimes continue to be on the rise.

Citing a number of gun violence in recent time, Mr Bona has charged government to do more in salvaging the situation.

“F or the first time in this republic and of course under the current dispensation of President  Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, we’re fortunate to have had so many security ministers. So many people in charge of our security but unfortunately it is a time that looks like we’re being let down where our security challenges have either doubled or gone up much more than we would’ve expected”

“I’d use this opportunity to let the Presidency know that next year right around this time, election( results) would’ve been declared. Therefore, the leadership of this country should bear in mind  that one of the determinants of next year’s elections will be security. How safe I feel will determine how I vote” he said.

Mr Bona’s comments come on the heels of a number of shooting incidents this year.
