Scores of companies pitch camp to recruit employees at The Ghana Report Jobs Fair

Several private companies from various sectors have started registration, interviews, and eligibility tests for qualified applicants at The Ghana Report Jobs and Entrepreneurship Fair.

This fulfils the fair’s promise to provide jobs that cut across leading private companies and international organisations.

The companies recruiting include Nestlé Ghana, Melcom Ghana, GLICO Group Company Limited, Sunda International, Enterprise Group, G4S Security Services Ghana Limited, Hollard Insurance, Advans Ghana, JD Oil, Keda Ceramics, StarLife Assurance Company Limited and Response One Ghana Limited.

Others are KEK Insurance, Prudential Life, Molders Group, The Blue Penguin, Ernest Publication Ltd, Vitanature Health Care Ltd, StarLife Assurance, Westec Security, Blue Space, Consociates Ghana Limited, Trestle Academy Ghana, Enquiry Agency Careers Network LBG, and Topbite Restaurant.

Together, these organisations are offering thousands of vacancies to smart, intelligent, and competent job seekers who share their core values and are eager to make a meaningful impact.

For instance, Nestlé Ghana has vacancies for factory hygienists, analysts, and growth and data analytics leads.

Melcom, one of Ghana’s biggest shopping companies, has over 400 vacancies, ranging from managers and cooks to cleaners.

The Blue Penguin is offering over 100 jobs to sales managers, marketers, relationship managers, and business development managers.

 

 

Meanwhile, Vitanature Health Care has 150 jobs up for grabs for marketers and community health educators.

The other companies have vacancies for accountants, drivers, cashiers, mechanics, electricians, sales personnel, teachers, nannies, carers, security officers, fuel station attendants, laboratory technicians, translators, etc.

Speaking to The Ghana Report, the Sales Manager of StarLife Assurance, Edmund Anyimadu Appiah, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to StarLife Assurance to partner with The Ghana Report in such a worthy cause to help curb the spate of unemployment in the country.

He added that the organisation is relentlessly putting its best foot forward to ensure that more participants get employed through the job fair.

“So far we have registered 15 participants, and we are expecting higher numbers as the fair progresses. We are on the hunt for talented individuals who can fit our marketing and sales positions,” he said.

Betty Aster Padi, Human Resources Manager of Melcom Group, explained that the firm needed 429 staff to fill various positions across different branches across Ghana.

She encouraged qualified persons to grab the opportunity to enhance their livelihoods.

Nana Oware Bonsu, the Area Sales Manager of GLICO Life Insurance, explained that his firm needed over 100 sales executives for seven of their offices in Greater Accra.

Cyril Birikorang, the Recruitment and Training Manager was optimistic about filling administrative and field roles for his company.

The Director and Founder of Trestle Academy welcomed the opportunity to train hundreds of young professionals with an interest in IT and computing to fill roles in their partner firm, INGEN, an international consulting and services provider in IT solutions, cloud computing, and software development.

 

The Human Resource Manager of The Blue Penguin, Ricard Narh, said they were targeting over 100 candidates at the fair with HND and degree qualifications for business development, relationship management, and marketing roles.

Chief Executive Officer of Ernest Publication Ltd, E.K. Odame, said there were over 100 vacancies at his book-selling company.

The firm has vacancies for persons with experience in book layout or design and strong English writing and speaking skills.

The vacant positions include marketing agents, marketing coordinators, office assistants, and chartered accountants.

The locations of recruitment are Kumasi (15), Accra (15), Kasoa (3), Sunyani (1), Konongo (1), Techiman (1), Obuasi (1), Swedru (1), Takoradi (2), Tarkwa (1), Tema (3), Ashaiman (3), Praso (1), Koforidua (2), Oda (1), and Nkawkaw (1).

Meanwhile, Vitanature Health Care Limited needs marketers and community health educators.

Vitanature Health Care Limited Executive Manager, Isaac Wiafe, said 150 positions are up for grabs.

Enquiry Agency Careers Network LBG provides career development, career guidance, work placements, volunteering, and apprenticeship in collaboration with the Ghana-South Africa Business Chamber.

The Project Manager, Miriam Koranteng, believes the job fair will provide the platform to recruit many university graduates without work experience to fill 85 positions.

Participants at The Ghana Report Jobs & Entrepreneurship Fair are benefiting from direct employment, training, entrepreneurship development, and networking opportunities.

 

The two-week expo is in collaboration with the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
