Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has been made the ambassador of the Year of Return 2019 by the Ministry for Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture of Ghana.
In photos circulating online, Sarkodie was seen being honoured by the Minister for Tourism, Creative Arts and Tourism, Barbara Oteng Gyasi.
Sarkodie’s gesture after he was announced portrayed how happy he was about it.
Fans of Sarkodie have taken to various social media platforms to congratulate the award-winning rapper for the ambassadorial deal.
It’s not surprising the Vodafone Ghana Music Award Artiste of the Decade, Sarkodie has been named as such.
He sold Ghana when he was adjudged winner for the Best International Flow category at the recently held BET Hip Hop Awards.
Sarkodie told African-Americans who were seated in the auditorium to “come to Ghana” as part of the Year of Return initiatives – making it clear he started his ambassadorial deal ahead of time.
