Sammy Flex confirms Shatta Wale was invited for Richard Quaye’s birthday but…
Artiste manager for Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex has responded to rumours circulating on social media about Shatta’s invite to the highly talked-about birthday party of businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye.
In a discussion on his YouTube channel on March 25, 2025, Sammy Flex clarified that he received a call from one of the event organizers about invitation for Shatta Wale and directed her to one of the team members as he was in London at the time.
He said he later confirmed with the team member who affirmed that Shatta’s invitation came through.
He explained that the artiste’s absence was not due to the claims that Richard Quaye chose between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
Sammy Flex further refuted rumours that Wale snubbed the party because of the presence of CEO of Despite Group of Companies due to past feud between both.
“I have seen stories saying the man said because Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were not supposed to be at the same place, he picked the bigger one and he chose Stonebwoy, are you sure?
“There are others who are also saying because Despite was going to be there that was why Shatta Wale was not called, once again, another balderdash…that should also be brushed off, total lies.
“There are some who also said Shatta Wale wanted the same money they gave to Davido. All those things are lies…there are people who even think Shatta Wale was not even invited at all.
“I was even in London not in Ghana when I received a call from one Soraya. I could not pick so she sent me a message saying I’m calling in respect to Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s birthday, I have Shatta’s invitation. Unfortunately, I was not in Ghana so I directed her to one person. Later when I came back, I asked my team member and he confirmed that yes, the lady called her,” he stated.
According to Sammy Flex, Shatta Wale holds his personal values in high esteem and maybe the invitation to the party did not factor in the artiste’s values which could be a reason for discarding the invitation.
“Like I am saying every person and his values. Maybe for some artistes their value is to go for parties drink, eat and dance. I don’t remember the last time Shatta Wale was seen eating at public spaces.
“If you really want him there are some values you have to meet maybe to the team whiles, they were here in Ghana and I was there in London those values were not discussed as part of the invitation and they will surely discard it,” he added.
Richard Nii-Armah Quaye’s luxurious birthday was the talk of town on March 22, 2025 .
The event, hashtagged #RNAQ40 took place at the Independence Square on March 22, 2025 was attended by a pool of influencers, celebrities and wealthy business men from across Africa and beyond.
